The short answer is -- YES! Even the most expensive, pristine-looking RV can have hidden issues lurking beneath the surface. Structural problems, such as water damage, can be especially tricky to detect but extremely costly to repair. Without a professional inspection, you might miss warning signs of damage that could lead to high costs and dangerous situations down the road.
Buying an RV isn’t just about how it looks on the outside. The overall condition of the vehicle plays a significant role in its longevity and usability. An inspection allows you to see the complete picture, from the engine and drivetrain to the plumbing and HVAC systems.
The NRVIA certification is recognized as the industry standard, offering the most detailed inspection available. With over 500 checkpoints, an NRVIA-certified inspector leaves no stone unturned, ensuring every part of your RV is thoroughly evaluated.
For more than 10 years, the NRVIA has set the gold standard for RV inspections. Their detailed processes and training ensure inspectors have the knowledge and expertise needed to provide an accurate and reliable assessment of your RV.
NRVIA-certified inspectors undergo rigorous training to identify issues that oftentimes go unnoticed by less qualified professionals. Their expertise spans all aspects of RV systems, from electrical and plumbing to appliances and structural integrity.
When you hire an NRVIA-certified inspector, you’re not just hiring someone to check for problems; you’re investing in a trusted professional backed by a decade-long reputation as the leader in RV inspections.
Once we have set a date for the inspection, I will send you a contract that explains what will be inspected, how to arrange to have the RV ready for inspection, my code of ethics, payment information, and many other details.
You should contact your dealer / private seller and have them arrange to have power, water, propane, and sewer (if available) hooked up to the rig. Power should be running the night before the inspection.
